i mean, Hellboy: Blood and Iron has got to be the most underrated vampire movie of all time. it might be animated, but it's still a cover your eyes, sleep-with-the-lights-on chiller! it has everything: vampires (real, of course) witches, ghosts, harpies, hellhounds, Hecate...

just when i was watching THE OPENING CREDITS, which was the "camera" zooming around a creepy gothic graveyard, i clapped and said "take that, Stephenie Meyer!" like, Hellboy: Blood and Iron is how vampires are supposed to be. Creepy, evil, seductive, disturbing, scary, blood sucking, (and bathing), frightening, and most important, CRUMBLE IN THE SUNLIGHT!

stephenie meyer could most definitely learn a thing or two...or three or four...or more from it!
